Bipolar Symptom: Sleep Issues
Sleep problems lasting more than a few days can be a sign of bipolar disorder.
Issues with sleep can manifest in two different ways, but both tend to be extreme.
1. You may want to sleep all the time, feeling like no matter how much you sleep, you are still exhausted.
2. You don't sleep at all. This is where I often lived.
The last two weeks before I went to the hospital, I didn't sleep at all.
Many without bipolar think that's impossible, and I wish it was, but it's true.
The oddity about not sleeping is that after a few days, you no longer feel tired.
Sitting or laying down felt unnecessary, so I kept going. And going.
Some strange energy source took over, and I felt like I would never sleep again.
If you see this sign, it may be time to get help.
