Living with Bipolar can be really tough at times. Putting it mildly of course.
That said, to manage it takes personal growth. It requires making changes. Changes to day to day life. Without adjustments in certain areas, we'll continue to experience extreme swings. Understanding our personal stressors is key to this.
For instance, if we remain in a toxic relationship, a stressor, we're going to experience mood swings. If we remain in a high pressure job, a stressor, we'll experience mood swings.
As difficult as some things may be to change, the cost of not changing is a high price where Bipolar is concerned.
I guess it's about designing a day to day environment to flourish in. As opposed to being suffocated by. I once heard that Bipolar can be likened to an allergy to stress.
So short term pain for long term pleasure springs to mind :):
