When I first got told this was chronic, I misunderstood it as being "this severe". At the time I was very much in the darkest of places. Scared all the time. I just wanted to hide in my room. In time I realised that although it was life long, it doesn't …

Beforehand I had an amazing career. I spent several years in the motor trade. I had a new top of the range sports car every 3 weeks. No tax, insurance, service bills or fuel. £50k a year. So life was great! It was a very fast and high pressure job. Especially when I was a manager at 21.
Then I moved to Thailand where I proceeded to stay for 4 years. I created a car parts shop and a mini-dress shop on eBay. In the end I only ordered new stock every several weeks. I had other people doing the rest.
I came back for a visit and bang, had my first experience of a major episode. Too much stress was put on me and I got seriously ill. I knew something was wrong but I just couldn't put my finger on what.
I kept going for 5 months, flipping between mania and depression. With long waves of psychosis. Eventually I was admitted into hospital, where I lived for a few months.
When I came out, I found that I mostly lived in a depressed state for quite some years. Some times barely able to function and do normal tasks ie personal hygiene, eat, sleep... I was panicky all the time. It was ridiculous. Lots about that in my course.
For 20 years I've studied psycho educational groups, personal development and spirituality. Spirituality is not to be confused with a religion. As a result of this study and life experience, I've woven my own interpretation of everything. The snippets that I find applicable in relation to riding this Bipolar as best as possible.
Thanks for spending time on the platform. I really appreciate it. I sincerely hope you find it of help.
