Sometimes when I'm depressed or feeling elevated, the best I can do is grounding techniques. With the intention of just sitting back and allowing the thoughts to pass.
I've also learnt that when I give a particular thought my attention, the thought becomes stronger. It attracts more thoughts like the first one.
Presence/mindfulness is king 🧘♂️👑 focus all of your attention on your senses. 😉
